www.cla-travel.asia ~ Ranau Rabbit Farm
Location : Kampung Kigiok, 89300 Ranau, Sabah
Guess what ?! I'm back to blogging again ! I guess once it gets in your blood, it's impossible to be free from the itch. All right, let's talk straight to the point --- Ranau Rabbit Farm, Sabah
Well, it was not huge farm but, the accessible to the rabbits was really made much easier. We could touch, feed, carry, play with those rabbits that released in the fenced area. All the visitors were free to enjoy the accessibility but, on the other hand, I pity the rabbits too as they are made to entertain us for the exchange of fees....well, sad to say that.
Ranau Rabbit Farm is a good place for kids and family. Except some of the rabbits are dirty and shed some fur off. Pretty sure they need some grooming or maybe vet. Actually, it's not somewhere you can spend a day, but if you want somewhere for an hour or two to keep the children amused then it'll do the job just fine. Very friendly rabbits so do include this place to visit when you bring kids and they would love to be there. Guarantee !
This is quite a small farm and not the size you may have been to before but the price reflects that at MYR3 for an adult and MYR2 for children, you can also buy a small bag of feed which is cost MYR1 and I thought quite reasonable. As a visitor, this is my suggestion --- maybe a sign showing people exactly how to wash their hands properly would be helpful, I know that sounds crazy but lots of people don't wash their hands properly and completely miss areas of hands.
There is also a small cafe where my team were having a good 'Kopi Apai' or 'Apai Coffee' originally made by Ranau people. The cafe has a yummy waffles too !
You won't be here all day, not much more than a couple of hours really but we will definitely be coming again next time.
